SACHEM Launches New Non-Aqueous Formulation Component for Electronic Material Applications

Austin, TX March 13, 2013 SACHEM launches Envure™ ST 2021.  Envure™ ST 2021 is an innovative, high concentration organic hydroxide in a non-aqueous medium.  The unique character of this product  is that it  does not generate color and does so without the use of carcinogenic additives. Typical  commercially available formulations contain  additives such as formaldehyde, with the attendant risks and  regulatory issues.  In response to these issues and the demand for  color-stable non-aqueous products, SACHEM has developed Envure™ ST 2021 to address these regulatory and performance requirements.  “Delivery of color-stable strong bases in solvent opens up new applications in electronic materials where performance and process monitoring are at a premium, commented Kevin McLaughlin, Global Marketing Director.

Advanced photoresist stripping requires compatibility with gate stack and interconnect metals in addition to protection of high aspect ratio structures, neither of which can be achieved with aqueous strippers.    SACHEM’s unique chemistry expertise and manufacturing capabilities allow us to meet and exceed these performance challenges. Traditional manufacturing methods for high concentration organic hydroxides typically yield non-color-stable solutions that are increasingly unacceptable in advanced manufacturing operations.  Envure™ ST 2021 enables formulators to provide consistent performance in the most demanding applications.
