With the rise in population and increase in regulations, the Structured Materials industry is growing quickly. \u00a0After a comprehensive national search and assessment of some very qualified candidates,\u00a0C\u00e9drick Mahieux joined the SACHEM family on October 24, 2016 as\u00a0the\u00a0new Structured Materials Technology Leader, reporting directly\u00a0to the Chief Technology Officer, Ari K. Kar, Ph.D.<\/p>\n<p>In this key position, C\u00e9drick\u00a0is\u00a0responsible for extensive internal teamwork and external collaboration to identify new business development opportunities, and develop, implement and manage our technology roadmap and project portfolio for\u00a0the\u00a0Structured Materials catalyst segment.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to starting his industrial career, C\u00e9drick earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in France. \u00a0He has\u00a0international internship and post-doctoral research experience as well.\u00a0As\u00a0an experienced researcher and technology leader\u00a0he has\u00a0a proven track record of innovation and collaboration in a complex multi-disciplinary environment. C\u00e9drick has spent the past\u00a0eight\u00a0years in technology development and project leadership roles in the catalysis division at Chevron Corporation. C\u00e9drick brings a strong background in synthetic, organic and medicinal chemistry, IP creation, and problem solving skills.
