MassSpectrometric Analysis of TMACL and TEACL in Air and Nitrogen SACHEM contracted with Anderson MaterialsEvaluation to analyze the thermal decomposition of SACHEM TetramethylammoniumChloride (TMACl) and Tetraethylammonium Chloride (TEACl) crystal product viaTGA-Mass Spec analysis. The samples were heated from room temperature to 350°Cat a rate of 5°C/min. The weight loss of the sample was followed overtemperature, as well as the composition of the decomposition products. Onestudy was performed in a nitrogen atmosphere for TMACl and TEACl (Experiment1). A second study was carried out with TEACl in an air atmosphere (Experiment2).
