Austin, TX - February 1, 2003 - SACHEM, Inc. announced today the introduction of a completely new line of high purity organic strong bases. The Envure™ product line introduces higher molecular weight quaternary ammonium hydroxides in purity levels high enough to meet even the most stringent performance requirements. The Envure™ high purity organic strong bases have characteristic features allowing new options in product and process design. These aqueous-based products have no vapor pressure (except for that of water), feature good organic solubility, and allow for the option of complete removal from the reaction system through the use of heat. Quaternary ammonium hydroxides are an attractive alternative to sodium and potassium hydroxides (NaOH and KOH), providing strong base strength and lower volatility than typical amine substitutes while eliminating many side reactions and unwanted byproducts. The Envure™ product line combines these features with unparalleled purity.
