Austin, TX - November 5, 2008 - SACHEM's Austin and Cleburne manufacturing facilities are pleased to have achieved five years without a lost-time accidents or reportable environmental incidents.  Such a track record of safety is paramount to business operations at SACHEM. SAFETY
SACHEM's commitment to the safety of its associates include programs such as comprehensive disaster recovery plans for each facility and detailed security systems. In addition, SACHEM America's facilities are ISO 9001 and ISO 140001 certified to allow each associate to follow detailed safety procedures.

HEALTH
SACHEM considers the health of its associates of utmost importance.  SACHEM's Wellness Team offers various programs to promote healthy living, such as smoking cessation, weight loss, and exercise incentives.

ENVIRONMENT
Environmental efforts are enforced with SACHEM participating in such programs as ChemStewards®, a flexible environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) program that promotes continuous performance improvement in chemical manufacturing. The program, which was developed by the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) to respond to members' needs, offers a three-tiered approach to participation: Fundamentals, Enhanced Performance, and Excellence. This approach was developed to ensure that program implementation can be tailored to best meet a company's individual needs.
