| SACHEM To Raise Prices for its Cationization Agents: REAGENS-S-CFZ and GMAC |
|
Zaltbommel, NL- June 27, 2008 - SACHEM announced today that it will raise the prices for its range of cationization agents REAGENS-S-CFZ and GMAC. The prices will be raised with 0.10 €/kg or 0.155 $/kg, effective July 1, 2008 or as current contracts allow. Reason for the price increase are the developments on the international "raw materials" market, transport costs, packaging costs and other cost increasing factors. REAGENS-S-CFZ (3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride) and GMAC (2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride) are effective monomers for the cationization of natural polymers (like starch and cellulose) which find their main applicational use in the paper and cosmetics industry.
