Benzyltrimethylammonium Hydroxide (BTMAH) is the reagent is perhaps the most-used quaternary hydroxide in organic synthesis.  It is soluble in just about every class of organic solvent, is thermally stable, and its solutions can be dried more extensively than can other quaternary hydroxide solutions.
